
Problem To Solve:
The Medical Management Prototype objective is to ensure that NATO has the ability to manage a large number of casualties that may occur on the battlefield during large-scale warfighting intervention on the continental landmass of Europe.
- Patient Tracking – To keep track of patients as they move through the chain of care from point of wounding to definitive and rehabilitation care. Any category of patient can be tracked: active duty, POW, displaced persons, refugees, and civilians.
- Patient Regulation – To move patients using the most effective transport platform to the most effective medical treatment facility based on medical need.
- Medical Treatment Directory – Real-time information on medical treatment facilities and evacuation assets, both military and civilian.
- Medical Reporting – Data to feed the NATO Common Operating Picture, which assists the commander in decision-making.
